NOTE: Always use protective BBQ mitts or gloves when tipping out charcoal. The body and the handle can get quite hot so please exercise caution at all times. It is normal for the black surface to change colour after initial lighting, this is part of the burn in process. Allow a full burn in before utilizing the unit to light fuel that will be used for cooking. Do not cool down hot surface with water. Store away from the elements when not in use.
